It is recommended to arrive a half hour prior to your reservation in order to guarantee an on-time departure. A late arrival will only take away from your rental time on the water, as it is expected for you to return at your scheduled time to avoid a late fee. This is especially important for jet ski and half day boat rentals as there is always a rental waiting to go out after your return.

Renters need to be at least 21 years old to rent, with a valid driver’s license and major credit card. The renter must be present at check in and provide both items for verification. It is also recommended to bring a watch or way to keep up with your time as you are responsible to return the boat rental on time. Anyone who wants to drive the rental boat will need to bring their physical license as well.

No rental boat is allowed to go into the Gulf of Mexico. To avoid having this happen to you, steer clear of the major overpass bridges. These large bridges lead to the Pass that goes into the Gulf. There is a $100 fee for going out into the ocean, so if you find yourself boating near a major bridge, steer your boat in the other direction to prevent going under that bridge.

It is our responsibility to supply you with safety equipment. Wearable life jackets are required for passengers under the age of 8 years. If you do not own your own, or failed to bring it on vacation, we have all sizes to fit your needs. Adults are only required to have wearable lifejackets when renting a jet ski or personal watercraft. Orange lifejackets will be on your boat rental that was prepared prior to your arrival.

 

That are hazardous or cause an open fire. Typical supplies that you may need include towels, sunscreen, sunhats, waters in a cooler and snacks. Remember that those Anything you feel that will be needed while you are out on the water is welcome, asides from things who are driving the rental boats are not permitted to drink alcohol as it will cause impairment and lead to accidents.

 

Full payment for the boat hire is due to complete your reservation. There is an option to add cancellation protection if your plans are uncertain, which will allow you to cancel for any reason up to one hour prior to your rental time. You are welcome to reschedule or adjust your reservation up until the day before. No shows will forfeit their rental with NO chance for a refund.

Hudson Marina reserves the right to cancel or change your reservation due to severe weather such as thunderstorms or hurricane. We cannot control the weather or guarantee perfect conditions. There are situations where we may call you to adjust your times due to the forecast, but typically rainy weather in Orange Beach will pass just as quickly as it comes, and conditions can change hourly. It is always recommended to wait until your rental time to assess the weather at that time if you have not heard from us prior.

When renting a boat, we hold a major credit card in the case for damages. If using the option for delivery or overnight rental, we will take a $500 security deposit that is released at the conclusion of your rental once the boat is assessed upon its return. All cash payments will require a fully refundable $500 security deposit so long as there are no damages.

Prices do not include taxes, booking fees and fuel. Rental vessels are sent out with a full tank and our dock staff will fill it back up upon your return. Renters are responsible to pay for fuel spent during the rental time at the market value price. Tips are always appreciated if you felt that your dock staff provided you a good service with your watercraft rental.

Your cell phone service will work on the bay waters. Those most familiar with Google Maps will just drop a pin prior to departure and follow the waterways to navigate their routes. You will not be able to ask Google for directions, as it will give you land routes and Google Maps focuses on roadways not waterways. Other apps available to you are Navionics and Know Your Wake which can help you navigate the waters with helpful information such as depths of water, buoy markers,and routes.

We are proud to be a pet friendly boat rental in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. All family members should be allowed to enjoy the stunning surroundings that the Alabama Gulf Coast has to offer. We do not provide lifejackets for furry family members, so if you feel like your fur baby needs one, you will need to provide your own.
